Geometry Honors
Course Overview
The fundamental purpose of Honors Geometry is to;
1) formalize and extend students’ geometric experiences from the middle grades
2) explore more complex geometric situations
3) deepen their explanations of geometric relationships
4) move toward formal mathematical arguments

2) Reasoning and Proof 8) Right Triangles and Trigonometry
3) Parallel and Perpendicular Lines 9) Transformations
4) Congruent Triangles 10) Area
5) Relationships within Triangles 11) Surface Area and Volume
6) Polygons and Quadrilaterals 12) Circles
13) Probability
End of Course Exam (EOC)
Students will take the Geometry End-of-Course exam written by the State of Florida’s Department of Education in May.
